Ty has finally made it out of my bedroom. Now, he won’t leave my side. Teddy is more like a 2 month old, than a 2 year old. He wants constant interaction. He tries to play with Ty, but Ty just wants to be left alone.
This is Teddy, my newly adopted pekingese mix. I’m not sure what he’s a mix of, because the peke gene is too strong. He’s a big ‘un - 17 pounds. Ty is only 10 or 11 pounds. Ty is not feeling Teddy, he’s hiding in my bedroom. Teddy was classified as a stray because people kept seeing him run across a freeway and called the pound. No one claimed him. They put him at 2 years old. He’s really friendly and I’ve yet to hear him bark. He smelled when I got him and after being shampooed twice, he still kinda smells and he is not a fan of baths. He’s got a healthy coat, but he still needs groomed badly. He’s big on trying mark his territory, inside and out. He gets fixed Wednesday.
It’s been 10 years since I’ve had a new dog and I forgot how exhausting they can be.
